The North Carolina Association for Public Charter Schools is a nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to the interests of the state’s charter schools, which include advocating for equitable policy for the state’s charter schools; sharing updates about the charter school movement on the local, state, and national levels; and hosting professional development workshops for charter school teachers.
Challenge
After seeing how the National Alliance for Charter Schools used video during the promotion of the 2020 National Charter Schools Week, the North Carolina nonprofit wanted to use video as an avenue to promote the great work their charter schools were doing for the 2021 National School Week Choice campaign. The campaign was focused on sharing why the Charter Schools of North Carolina are a great option for education.
The North Carolina Association for Public Charter Schools was in search of professional-looking videos that didn’t require a videographer to film and edit. Their goal was to create a series of promotional videos without worrying about unforeseen tech challenges.
Strategy
In order to create high-quality videos that can be easily shared, The North Carolina Association for Public Charter Schools connected with the National Alliance for Charter Schools on their video creation strategy, which began with Storyvine’s pro user-generated video platform. The video platform easily guides users through the video interview process of three questions to quickly and easily produce branded and consistent videos without the timely, costly burden of professional video production. The final videos were uploaded to the nonprofit’s website and shared on social media channels.
Results
After working directly with the Storyvine team, the nonprofit created a video template and produced 11 high-quality videos that explained the benefits of a Charter School education from the school leaders, faculty members, and parents.
